Francisco Moreira Cabral Landim, (nicknamed "Chico"), of Pawtucket, Rhode Island passed away in his home with his loving family by his side on September 25, 2022 at the age of 67. He was the husband of Dulce H. (Valentin) Landim for 22 years. He was born on April 1st, 1955 in Praia, Cape Verde. He was the son of the late Fermino C. Landim and Paula (Morreira) Landim, the fourth oldest of nine children.
Frank grew up in Cape Verde during his childhood until he moved to Portugal in the 1970’s, and then eventually settled in the USA since the 1980’s. He was at first employed as an electrician and lineman and then worked at Ridco Casting Co. in Pawtucket for more than 30+ years. "Chico" was also a devoted member of Jehovah’s Witnesses, in which he served faithfully throughout the rest of his life.
Besides his wife he is survived by a son, Paulo A. Landim, a daughter, Kendra A. Dos Santos Landim, three stepsons (Alexandro Silva, Domenik Lopes, and Benjamin Santos), and a brother in the USA, to Claudio Landim. He was also the father of the late Paula A. Santos Landim, who recently passed about one month prior to his own passing.
Frank was truly a "one-of-a-kind" man, who can be described as one of the most altruistic, selfless, and most generous souls you’d ever meet, loved by almost everyone who has met and known him over the years. He dedicated his life to serving God and others, always putting everyone else before himself, ready to help those in need no matter what. He loved all his friends and family unconditionally, while he in turn was given the same love unconditionally as well. He was "that" good and beloved of a man.
"Chico" will most dearly be missed. May all of our hearts and condolences go out to the Landim family during this difficult time for losing such a benevolent man in Frank. May this dearly treasured individual rest peacefully alongside his daughter, Paula, where they are now both in God’s memory.
Visitation will be held Saturday, October 1st from 2:00 - 4:00pm followed by a Memorial Talk at 4:00pm in Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave., Lincoln. Burial will be private.
